Notable new Christian rap artists are constantly emerging. So, we asked three people who are attracting attention!
Megan Tossi
Megan Tossi is 25 years old based in Sanford, Florida (Orlando).
I was frightened by the teachings of fire and brimstone and was led to Christ, but I didn’t feel the passion for Christ until I understood that being a child of God meant more than going to heaven. That’s when my life really changed. Thanks to many hardships, I too have been able to go deeper into God.
I started with poetry and stories, then moved on to lyricism and have been writing throughout my life. I was heavily influenced by the culture of hip hop and reggaeton due to where I am from and the passion for these genres that really developed at a young age. But I never thought I would actually be able to make music. I had no idea how feasible it would be to make music as an adult. I didn’t come for the money, so it was an impossible idea for me. And I never really looked into it until I became an adult and started meeting people who make music.
I officially started releasing my music on January 1st, 2021 with my debut single ‘Judas’ from a modest studio in my bedroom.
