Dickinson — Get ready for a toe-smacking, soul-stirring experience this summer, headlined by Dickinson’s Bandshell Concert Series. Beginning June 13th, the community can gather at Memorial Park every Tuesday night to enjoy a diverse line-up of free live performances. From Caldekker’s enchanting country melodies to the harmonious bluegrass tunes of Paul and his family, this concert series not only invites attendees to experience the joy of immersing themselves in the talents of these talented artists. This year’s performance opens with Decker, a country singer-songwriter from small-town Mississippi who mixes country and Southern rock music. Decker has been performing for nearly six years and has been compared to artists like Eric Church and opened for names like Parker McCallum and Frank Foster.
Relay for Life offers discounts, and Amen Food Pantry collects preserved foods for storage in local food pantries.
Next Tuesday, June 20th, comes the Paul Family Bluegrass, a family of seven that fuses six acoustic stringed instruments with traditional gospel and Appalachian bluegrass music.
According to the website, the Paul family has a strong devotion to God and performs songs that convey positive and encouraging messages in family-friendly settings.
Nu-Blu will be back in town on June 27th with a mix of bluegrass, country and acoustic genres from North Carolina.
The band carries a number of Southern instruments, ranging from mandolins, fiddles and banjos, and of course skilled vocals.
The concert series takes a hiatus for Independence Day, but resumes on July 11 with Minneapolis-based band Good Morning Bedlam and their folk songs.

Good Morning Bedlam have played festivals alongside artists like Shakey Graves, Jason Isbell and Trampled By Turtles, and are set to release an EP later this year.
Ryan Dart hits the stage on July 18 with Americana-style music inspired by broken hearts and farming in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.
On July 25th, singer Greg Hager will play original country songs about love, cows, life and faith.

A native of North Dakota, Hager was named Artist of the Year at the Academy of Western Artists in 2021 and has been nominated for the 2022 North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame.
The Elgin, North Dakota, brother band, The Bluestems, will perform on August 1 with a bluegrass melody.
Young band members showcase their instrumental talents by playing instruments such as fiddle, banjo, mandolin, bass, and in some cases doblos.
Mountain Country hits the stage on August 8 with a combination of classic country roots and fresh young talent from eastern Montana and western North Dakota.
The concert series will end on August 15th with “If Music be the Food”. The series is made up of local artists and vendors who donate their talents and help raise food and funds for local food banks like Amen Food Pantry.
The Bandshell Concert Series allows the community to enjoy free outdoor concerts every Tuesday night throughout the summer.
