Mumbai: Leader of Opposition in the state Assembly Vijay Wadettiwar strongly criticised Ajit Pawar for saying on Wednesday, “If I knew I could become the Chief Minister, I would have led the entire party.” Wadettiwar said Ajit Pawar is only greedy for power. Staying in power always is Pawar's only ideology. Staying in power is everything to him. Ajit Pawar is greedy for power and has failed to satisfy the Delhi leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
At the launch function of Eknath Shinde's book at Thane Gadkari Rangayathan on Wednesday, Ajit Pawar expressed his desire to become the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. The BJP has released a rap song against the MVA. Wadettiwar also criticised rap song makers for using foul language against senior Congress leaders in the rap song.
“We have received suggestions from legal experts to file a complaint against the makers of the rap songs. The song makers should be punished. The BJP has lowered its level and its language is deteriorating day by day,” Wadettiwar said.
While criticising the BJP-led government in Maharashtra, he alleged that Mahayuti had formed the government by defeating MLAs of other parties and that only two months were left for the life of the Mahayuti government in Maharashtra.Wadettiwar said that talks between the MVA alliance were positive and a joint rally of UBT, Indian National Congress and NCP had been organised at Shanmukhanand on August 16.
He supported Uddhav's visit to Delhi. Uddhav is an important leader and has the right to meet anyone. But he came to Delhi to meet leaders of the MVA coalition party in the backdrop of the state assembly elections.
Wadettiwar also said leaders like Soniya Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge will also be present on August 20, the birthday of late leader Rajiv Gandhi.
