Papua New Guinea's sensational dance team, One Squad, returned to compete at this year's World Hip Hop Dance Championships, once again aiming for the top spot.
The talented crew recently embarked on a journey to represent the country on the international stage.
Mountain Dew's unwavering support has helped One Squad stay competitive through the years.
The brand sponsorship provided the necessary travel arrangements, accommodations and amenities, allowing the crew to focus solely on perfecting their performance.
Pacific Industries Limited, through its Mountain Dew brand, is proud to support the group again this year with a cash sponsorship worth K110,000.
Pacific Industries Managing Director Everett Chew said the group had achieved great success at last year's World Hip Hop Dance Championships, where they performed brilliantly and came in fourth place.
“Through the Mountain Dew brand, we are proud to continue to support these young people as they pursue their passion for dance, flying the Papua New Guinea flag and putting Papua New Guinea on the map in the dynamic and diverse world of dance,” he said.
“With their fantastic performance last year, we are rooting and hoping that they can finish in the top three this year and there is no doubt that expectations will be high across the nation to see the group team come out on top.”
Chwe added: “Their journey is not just about the goal of winning, it is a symbol of inspiration for all aspiring dancers and artists in PNG and it shows that no matter what challenges they face in life, ordinary Papua New Guineans can compete on the world stage.”
