East Austin native Ubah Gang is redefining Southern hip-hop with a unique fusion of Texas grit and international influence. Born Godwin Ike Ubah, his music is rooted in a blend of Nigerian heritage, Jamaican roots, and Lone Star spirit. From melodic hooks to thoughtful bars, Ubah’s music speaks to both the streets and the soul.
Raised between Austin and Dallas, Ubah grew up in the band and choir, pushed by his mother who saw his gift early on. After a college football stint, he changed course to study music engineering—where his mentors encouraged him to pursue recording. That leap of faith birthed standout tracks like “Cash Cow” and “Moment of Clarity.”
Today, Ubah Gang is more than an artist—he’s a movement. With festival appearances and collaborations alongside names like Sauce Walka and BigXthaPlug, he’s gaining momentum in and beyond Texas. His sound is clean, motivational, and deeply personal—reflecting a perfectionist’s ear and a storyteller’s heart.
