Jack White has posted an original verse defending former White Stripes bandmate Meg White’s drumming abilities as he comes under scrutiny.
Meg White has retired from music and has been out of the public eye for over a decade, but this week a discussion about her abilities erupted on social media in response to a tweet posted by author Lachlan Murkay. In an article marking the 20th anniversary of the White Stripes’ Seven Nation Army, Markay wrote: yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah It will take as long as it takes. Unfortunately, Meg White was terrible and no band is as good as she has crappy percussion.”
Many fellow drummers, including Questlove of The Roots, immediately jumped to White’s defense. “I try to leave Troll View alone, but this one misses the point,” Questlove said. murmured“The fact is that music is wrong is that people are taking lives from it like Instagram’s filters, i.e. reaching peak musical perfection that doesn’t serve the song (or the music).” I am trying.”
Also Karen Elson, who married Jack White after he and Meg White divorced expressed her support. “Not only is Meg White a great drummer, Jack said the White Stripes would be nothing without her. (Thank you very much.)”
Now, Jack White himself appears to have answered the controversy in a poem posted on Instagram. increase. “100 years later, 1000 years later, another distant time. A person without demons, cowards, and blood-seeking vampires, who has positive inspiration to nurture good things.

I’m trying to leave the “troll’s perspective” alone, but it’s missing the point here. In fact, what’s wrong with music is that people are taking lives from it like Instagram filters. pic.twitter.com/hCj43qNpcG

Not only is Meg White a great drummer, Jack said the White Stripes would be nothing without her. Don’t go.

Meg White inspired me to sit behind the drum throne and pick up the sticks. Her style and the music of the White Stripes were a breath of fresh air compared to most at the time.
Those who speak ill of her don’t know rock’n’roll pic.twitter.com/mNXO5ONdxI

If you’re denying Meg White, you’re fundamentally misunderstanding what music is good or bad.

Meg White was a great drummer. Feeling is important for percussion, not how many notes you can play. move the song? does it make you dance? Do you feel it on a primitive level? The 999/1000 drummer couldn’t be more like her.that is a fact
