Ada Morghe talks new 4hero remix, love for jazz & more

Ada Morge’s latest album, titled ‘Lost’, deftly weaves a captivating blend of sophisticated and expressive vocals, ambitious and uplifting concepts, and deftly executed musicality. It was a mix. As a testament to her diverse creative abilities as an actress, writer and director, Ada is giving her exciting twist this time around by showcasing her fresh 4hero remix of her title track.

When asked about the remix, Ada humbly expressed her deep appreciation for 4hero’s enthusiasm for reimagining “Lost.” She confessed that she had been an avid admirer of their work for quite some time. With the release of this new remix, we took the opportunity to catch up with Ada Morge and ask a few more questions.

You just released a 4hero remix of your single “Lost”, how did the collaboration come about? And how is it different from the original?

I couldn’t think of anyone better than drum and bass pioneers 4hero, so I’m very happy about this collaboration. Of course, the remix is different from the original, but it doesn’t detract from the essence of the song. I think Mark from 4hero summed this up nicely: They touched on her jazzy DnB on “Lost,” so this remix felt natural to me. ”

You’re an actress, writer, director, and musician. How do you manage your various creative roles?

Of course, we don’t do everything at the same time. Plus, different creative disciplines inspire each other, so writing a book can inspire songs and vice versa. But my focus is definitely on making and performing music at the moment.

If you could describe your music in 3 words what would it be?

Melodic, deep, soulful.

What advice would you give to your younger self?

love yourself trust yourself. be yourself.

What’s the biggest challenge you’ve had to overcome in your career so far?

Being the mother of two daughters I love dearly has been the biggest challenge of the last few years. I was always torn between wanting to be with my kids 24/7 and having time for my creative accomplishments and my career.

If you could collaborate with one artist, who would it be?

That’s a tough question, because there are so many. But if I had to choose, I would love to collaborate with Sting.

Where did your love for jazz music come from? And what inspires you for lyrics?

i love the creative process. That’s why I love jazz. Because jazz is based on improvisation. Most songs begin with a theme or melody that the musician improvises. That was my approach for the album Lost. It is a journey into the unknown that requires your utmost attention and passion, and shows the personality of everyone who participates. I truly believe that there is magic in doing so.

Lyrically inspired by great literature, poetry, works of art, or simply when you let your mind wander. One of my favorite books is Rainer Maria Rilke’s Letters to the Young Poet.

What’s next for Ada Morge? Do you have any plans for gigs or new music?

I just gave concerts in Berlin and London. I’m looking forward to releasing 3 remixes from the album ‘Lost this Summer’. The song “Lost” represents “air”. Next is “The Story” which represents the element “Earth”. DJ Booker T did the remix, and I’m looking forward to hearing his version.
