Amazon Music has announced two new shows with a spotlight on hip-hop and Latin music.

Rotation Roundtable will focus on hip hop music and La Semanal Live will focus on Latin pop culture. Both shows are available as his 60-minute podcasts on Twitch. Both shows are inspired by Amazon Music’s Rap Rotation and R&B Rotation playlists. Hosts include Speedy Morman, Nyla Symone, Gabe P, and Rob Markman.

A podcast version of the show will be available on Amazon Music and the Wondery YouTube page. La Semanal Live is based on the eponymous podcast focused on the latest Latin music and culture. Hosted by Puerto Rican journalist Gio Rosado, it also features artist interviews and special guests.

The Rotation Roundtable airs Wednesdays at 9:00 PM EDT on the Amazon Music channel on Twitch beginning March 15th. La Semanal Live will be hosted on Twitch’s Amazon Music en Vivo channel from March 24th to Friday at 9pm.

“We are very excited to partner with Amazon Music to bring the latest Latin music to our fans in new ways,” adds Rosado. “There’s a lot of energy, humor, and discussion in this show. My goal is to create a show that’s so captivating and engaging that you’ll regret not watching it.”

Amazon Music partnered with Twitch in 2020 to give both platforms a new way to watch music. The move was partly to help Amazon adapt to the pandemic when live tours weren’t possible, but it also helped established artists promote their upcoming content via Twitch.

At last year’s Amazon Music Live concerts, artists like A$AP Rocky and Megan Thee Stallion performed for fans across the Amazon Music ecosystem, including Twitch channels. This integration has worked well for Amazon Music to compete with YouTube Music and the video aspect of Spotify, which has become increasingly important for reaching younger audiences.
