Born in Texas and reborn creatively in Washington State, APOLLLO is quietly shaping a sound that lives beyond genre and outside the usual industry formulas. Since relocating in 2018 at the start of adulthood, the artist has laid down both personal and musical roots in the Pacific Northwest—conducting most of his business in Seattle while paying homage to Tacoma, the city that introduced him to lifelong collaborators and one of his earliest mentors.

Music, for APOLLLO, was never optional. It was inherited. With a father who sang and performed and an older brother who played drums, sound was always present. But instead of choosing a single instrument, APOLLLO gravitated toward production—drawn to the freedom of touching every part of a record at once.

That freedom defines his creative workflow today. He begins each song by opening a fresh DAW session, selecting one of his own beats, and recording multiple demo versions—often seven to ten—before narrowing them down to the strongest melodies and hooks. Those top demos are then brought into a monthly studio session with an alternate engineer for second opinions before the final version is recorded from scratch.

His influences echo that same sense of artistic autonomy. Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill, and Teyana Taylor stand as creative pillars—not just for their sound, but for their fearlessness in expression and songwriting depth.

APOLLLO’s most recent single represents that vulnerability in its purest form. Produced from scratch by Seattle mainstay B.Smith Beats and co-written with his brother Des, the record was born from emotional anguish just weeks before the session. The result is a performance steeped in honesty rather than polish alone.

On stage, APOLLLO strips things down even further. No theatrics. No distractions. Just the voice and the story.

“I connect better when I’m comfortable,” he explains. “That’s when the lyrics land.”

With collaborations in negotiation and a confirmed upcoming single alongside Breez Kennedy slated for 2026, APOLLLO is entering a new chapter—one focused on consistency, deeper storytelling, and expansion into Oregon and California.

In an era dominated by attention metrics, he’s betting on something quieter but longer lasting: quality.
