We enjoy its strong roots, diversity and open-mindedness that creates new sounds and flavors every day. Obviously, my productions, especially my DJ sets, set the tone for the label. The tracks I want to play in my set are the ones coming out on Golden Recordings.
In that sense, it doesn’t matter whether the producer is a famous artist or a newcomer. I want to put out music that plays on the dance floor.

My studio is at home but travels with me. Being able to work anywhere – on the street, on the plane, on the beach – is essential. I have a better control room at home, so I always mix down there. I have never rented a permanent studio out of my house, although I do use other studios when I travel. It has always been part of my apartment and house. To be free, let go, and just make music, you have to feel 100% comfortable.
These days, I’ve been able to handle vocals from Elton John to Goldfrapp. Do you approach each of these vocalists differently?
Most of the time, artists at that level send me really good vocals, especially for remixes. So it’s not difficult to work with them, and I don’t have to go too deep into vocal production for my album. My main approach to vocals is the same as music in general. I only work with vocals that touch my heart and make me feel something on an emotional level. It’s very personal, but only then can I get inspired and make something I really like.
If you were stranded on a deserted island, what would you take with you to make music forever?
Until then, hopefully someone will eventually invent a single interface that translates what’s in your head into what you hear. This is very groundbreaking. Because anyone with a musical idea can bring it to life and we can all hear it. Of course, it comes in handy on remote islands where you can bring in a set of equipment.
Do you have one piece of advice for producers just starting out in the music industry?
Whether music is what you really want to do, whether you enjoy the process of making music, or whether you are lost in the process of making music, enjoy spending endless hours going nowhere and finishing nothing. See if you can find it.if you love or And I’m sure you want to invest most of your life in doing it, and if you accept, you can’t finish anything and if you do, you may never release it. yeah. If you have the money you make in music, you’re dedicated enough to give it a shot.
You love it and expect nothing – no success, no money, no fans. Only then will your music come from the heart and resonate with others. Or you must be very lucky, skilled in social media and willing to invest heavily in it, while still being able to afford to hire a very talented ghost producer.
