The deadline for the Music Week Women In Music Awards 2023 is fast approaching.
Nominations will be accepted through the end of this month until: 6 pm upon Thursday, June 29th – Submit executive and artist nominations online. mw-womeninmusic.com. You can also read the full criteria for each category.
Two new categories have been added to this year’s edition of the hugely popular daytime industry event, and tables and tickets are already selling fast.
The Women In Music Awards will be held again Friday, November 10, 2023 and Park Plaza Westminster Bridge, London. “Women In Music”, presented in partnership with AIM and UK Music, will celebrate its 10th anniversary this year.
Last year was the largest WIM to date, held for the first time at Park Plaza, and sold out weeks before the ceremony.
Table reservations for the 2023 Awards Ceremony are now open. Table positions are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, so book your table here as early as possible to ensure the best possible position.

The award recognizes the outstanding careers of women and women-identifying individuals in the music industry. We are proud to be transgender and genderqueer inclusive. music week It aims to showcase all the roles that women and self-identifying women take on within the business and highlight how important women are to the industry as a whole.
Two new categories have been added for 2023: DE&I Initiative of the Year and Special Recognition Award.
The DE&I Initiative of the Year highlights specific initiatives by companies or organizations that have done their best to promote diversity and inclusion both internally and externally. Entries must provide evidence of broad diversity and equal opportunity, as well as examples of how this initiative is leading the way in highlighting the benefits of diversity in business.
The Music Week Women In Music Special Recognition Award was launched to honor those whose roles do not always take center stage in the industry. It has been conceived to honor individuals who have achieved decisive and tangible change in their company by achieving long-term excellence in their chosen field, across all sectors of the industry and across all jobs.
Similar to the award categories, we plan to add 12 more executives to the honor roster. Launched in 2014, the show aims to highlight the breadth, depth and diversity of the people who are game changers in the music industry.
The judging period for this year’s awards is from August 2022 to June 2023. All candidates and companies must be based in the UK, with the exception of the International Woman of the Year.
The 2022 edition of Women’s in Music will feature inspirational artists Melanie C and Self-Esteem leading the crowd to a Spice Girls singalong and a new song ahead of their gig in Manchester. Sesame Street’s Elmo made a surprise appearance in a special pre-ceremony for the Nova Twins, who won the artist award, and a tribute video for music champion Yolanda Brown.
CEO Andrea Gleeson has been named 2022 International Woman of the Year.
“I encourage you all to continue to be part of the change,” Gleason said. “We all have a role to play in making our field more diverse.”
Young COO Chloe Roberts, 2022 Businesswoman of the Year, praised it as “a great event to shine a light on women… an event that inspires executives to interns.”
Outstanding Contribution Award winner Selina Webb, Vice President, Universal Music UK, was introduced by CEO/Chairman David Joseph, who has worked with her for 20 years. The tribute video includes UMG CEO and Chairman Sir Lucien Grainge, EMI Co-President Rebecca Allen, as well as Universal Music star Sir Elton John, ABBA’s Benny Anderson, Michael Performed by Kiwanuka.
“We still have a lot of work to do in this industry when it comes to diversity and representation,” said Webb as he accepted the award. “Let’s continue to support the next generation of female leaders.”
