Drake’s “Search and Rescue” found the superstar in a very familiar place: number one. The single jumped from 3rd to 1st. signboard‘s Rhythmic Airplay chart on June 10, the rapper became the 38th record-breaking champion on the radio list. Likewise, the track climbed from the 2nd spot to dominating lap airplay, securing an unprecedented 42nd leader for Drake.
According to Luminate, “Search and Rescue” climbed 8% in plays on Rhythmic Airplay, becoming the most-played song on US watched rhythmic radio stations in the week ending June 4. Meanwhile, Rap Airplay’s coronation follows his 4% increase in viewership over the same tracking period.
The new leader will be Drake’s second No. 1 for Rhythmic Airplay in 2023, following his collaboration with 21 Savage, “Rich Flex,” which dominated for two weeks in January and February. Thanks to recent champions, Drake has multiple Rhythmic His Airplay No. 1’s for his ninth straight year.

And while Drake, like any other artist, owes a portion of the total to the songs in which he’s featured, the superstar would still rank at No. 1 if just the lead credits were counted. . Of the 38 No. 1’s, Drake has been the lead or co-lead act on 25 Champion releases, and 13 have crossed the supporting spot on other artists’ tracks.
Additionally, “Search and Rescue” features co-written and co-produced credits with Lil Yachty, making the rapper/singer a participant in his fourth Rhythmic Airplay No. 1. Both DRAM’s ‘Broccoli’, who was champion for a week in 2016, and Kyle’s ‘iSpy’, which reigned 2 weeks the following year. As a writer, she then returned to The Summit in 2019 with Megan Thee Stallion, Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign’s #1 song of the week, “Hot Girl Summer.”
In a lap airplay, Drake added further evidence that he was taking classes alone. He now has a staggering 31 No. 1 wins, ahead of his closest challenger Lil Wayne (No. 13). Kanye West, the only artist to be in double-digit territory, has been in the top 10 and number three since the chart’s inception in 1999.
Drake’s 42nd lap airplay No. 1 came just two weeks after his 41st lap airplay left the top spot. Another collaboration with 21 Savage, “Spin Bout You,” reigned for four weeks in May, ceding the throne to Toosie’s “Favorite Song” last week. Beyond those pairs, Drake also scored a third Dominant in 2023 with “Rich Flex.”
