When asked what being an Apostle meant to him, Elder Soares spoke of the importance of his thoughts and calling on the Savior.

The Apostle emphasized the influence of women in the church.

Elder Soares spoke about what Church members are doing to serve others around the world. He mentioned the tsunami relief needed in Tonga last year. “There are institutions and organizations that we work with to help people move forward,” he said.
He also gave examples of financial donations the church has made to the World Food Programme, UNICEF and to help refugees around the world.
