Front brings strong to severe storms, isolated tornado risk to Central Florida – WFTV


ORLANDO, Fla. — Several strong to severe storms are possible in central Florida on Monday.

Most of the major storm activity occurs in the northern regions.

Storm systems can pose a risk of winds in excess of 50 mph, small hail, and isolated tornadoes.

Some of the storms can affect your morning commute.

The storm begins to move into the Orlando metro area late in the morning.

The storm line should collapse somewhat, but strong to severe storms are possible in our area through the early afternoon.

Thunderstorm activity also keeps our area cool.

Highs in Orlando should reach around 80 degrees on Monday.

There will be a bigger cooldown in the next few days.

On Wednesday and Thursday, temperatures can drop into the 40s for some.

Highs in Orlando on Tuesday will only hit the low 70s.
