Garth Brooks wants to bring back rock alter ego Chris Gaines.
The 61-year-old country music legend released an album in 1999 under a rock persona and not only reveled in the “challenge” it presented him with, but also the “Lost In You” singer. knows that his alternative direction has appealed to many fans.
In an interview on Billboard Country Live in Nashville earlier this week, he said: “A lot of time was spent on the Gaines project–it’s not natural, because you’re acting off the record–but I just want to do it for people.” the one you love.
“And, selfishly speaking, I love Chris Gaines records, so I want to do it for me. It posed a challenge for me as a vocalist.”

The “Garth Brooks… In the Life of Chris Gaines” album is recognized as the greatest hits project, collecting songs from the previous five albums without Chris, and was originally released in Australia. Garth then admitted that he wanted to record an original record as Chris.
“We have to put out five albums,” he said.
“I don’t know if it’s because I’m 114, but now it takes me three hours more than before to do anything.”
Elsewhere during the session, the “Friends In Low Place” singer shared a duets album with his wife Tricia Yearwood, as well as performances with various other artists (who didn’t name them).
