Manager Graeme Souness has backed Arsenal as the closest challengers to Manchester City next season.
Souness spoke about the hopes, views and expectations of Premier League fans from the Skybet Fan Preference Survey.: “I don’t think the Premier League is in danger of becoming a one-trick pony. I think Manchester City will be champions again.
“They are the strongest team, they have the best group of players I have ever known in the Premier League because they have the right structure, they have football people who make decisions about football.
“They have managers [Pep Guardiola] A person with a lot of experience and success. They have the best players, and it’s the best players to win the league. I think we will have the same challengers this year as last year – Arsenal will take on City.
“If Arsenal had a little more experience and a little more faith in difficult times, they could have won the league.
“If you checked the league table on Monday and saw that you were 10 points behind, you couldn’t believe the situation you were in.
“When we got to that point, City just said to themselves, ‘We just have to win this game, and in the end Arsenal will be looking over their shoulders so much, their focus will be out of the game.’ And that’s exactly what happened. Arsenal put it in the bottle.”
