New Los Angeles streetwear label Homme+Femme has created its latest line with a focus on the city’s rich hip-hop culture. Compton-born designer Drew Evans has charted a unique trajectory for the brand for a particularly pivotal collection celebrating his 10th anniversary of Homme + Femme, entitled “Living Legacy.”
The line revolves around t-shirts, hoodies, button-ups and vests. In the latest vest Homme + Femme has completed in the past, Evans offers his cropped puffer his vest in a pink, beige and black colorway. Embroidered with the brand’s logo, each vest is constructed of wavy fabric panels and closed with three snap buttons.
The button-up features an eclectic print of keys, locks, hearts and roses drawn from LA’s endemic symbolism, while the graphic tee is simpler and showcases bright screen-print graphics. .
The collection’s most prominent features are two hoodies that pay homage to the godfather of gangsta rap, Eazy E. The black hoodie is emblazoned with a blurry black and white photo of the rapper. A newspaper with a fragment of an article written about him.
