Hot 97 took to social media to announce details of its 50 Years of Hip-hop concert at Madison Square Garden on Friday, September 15th.
Wu-Tang Clan will headline the show, with performances from Mary J. Blige, EPMD, Tyrese and Sean Paul, according to the radio station’s announcement. Meanwhile, Mariah Carey and Maxwell have been mentioned as special guests, and the show will be curated by Funk Flex. Carey, Maxwell and Tyrse will also serve as hosts.
“Pre-sale tickets are available on Ticketmaster, use pre-sale code ‘Thebigshow50’,” Hot 97 said in the caption.
Hot 97 isn’t the only platform celebrating hip-hop’s 50th anniversary this year. Apple Music launches in May hip hop DNAis a new audio series with a variety of special and exclusive content.
