Spotify Premium users can download songs, albums, playlists and podcasts to their phones, tablets, laptops, smart speakers and other wearable devices. Here’s how:

There is a limit of 10,000 songs for Spotify downloads across 5 different devices.
Spotify mobile and desktop apps
Spotify’s mobile and desktop apps are available for free on the App Store for iPhone and Google Play Store for Android and Mac devices. The ability to download individual songs, albums, playlists and podcasts from the app is reserved for premium users who pay Spotify $9.99 per month. Click the circled down arrow to download any of these to your device.
Spotify on smart speakers
Spotify compatible devices include Amazon Echo Dot, Bose Home Speaker, Nest Audio, smart TVs and more. Users can listen on these devices using Spotify Connect. Select the speaker icon to connect to your smart speaker in either a song or podcast episode through the mobile or desktop app. The app recognizes if the device is iOS14, Android OS 5.0, OS X 10.13, Windows 10 or above, if your phone or laptop and speakers are on the same WiFi network, or if they are using Bluetooth To do. You don’t need Spotify Premium to listen to app music on smart speakers.
Spotify on wearable devices
In addition to smart speakers, Spotify is also available on wearable devices such as the Samsung Galaxy Watch and Apple Watch.
Spotify Premium is required to download playlists and podcasts, individual songs cannot be downloaded. To download playlists and podcasts, click the three dots next to the download arrow in their respective mobile or desktop apps and select the device you want to download to. Whether or not Spotify Premium is required for traditional listening depends on the wearable. However, it is required for nearly all downloads.
