We met up with Davy Knowles to talk about his upcoming album and hear him perform two of his new songs live.
The global pandemic has hit the entire world, and although it has been experienced by all of us collectively, it has affected us all in many ways. The music industry was particularly hard hit, with some music venues closed, some never reopening their doors, and tours immediately and indefinitely suspended.
Like most musicians, Davey Knowles We turned to different creative expressions and put together ‘Club Quarantine’. Live His streams and exclusive content have been a means of connecting with fans, giving him an outlet for his music, and getting solutions that fans couldn’t get in person. It was a nice band-aid, but a live stream is no substitute for the real live experience of standing in a sweaty music hall with like-minded people watching your favorite musician perform.
Naturally, feeling burned out by the situation and working on his own issues, Davey put down his electric guitar and picked up his trusty lifelong friend, a 1932 National guitar. . Then he (and the guitar) started pouring music. . As a result, he took a step away from what his fans were accustomed to, toward a stripped-down one-man singer-songwriter approach.
