Jayden Ham, Jaba Keh, Viva Lee Talks Bossy Bear With Us – Exclusive Interviews

The “Bossy Bear” show joins preschoolers in the adventures of Bossy Bear and Turtle in Nickelodeon’s new preschool animated series that debuted earlier this month. I had the opportunity to speak with Jaden Hamm, who voices Bossy, Jabba Kay, who voices Turtle, and Viva Lee, who voices Bossy’s older sister, and we talked about the show and more. Bossy Bear” is based on David Horvath’s book series, the Nickelodeon series has 30 season episodes, following their friends’ adventures in Pleasantburg. Lance Bass and Michael Turchin also have recurring guest voice roles this season as the parents of Bitsy’s best friend Ginger.

BSCKids: Tell us about the making of “Bossy Bear”. How did you get the part and do you have any fun behind-the-scenes stories that happened during filming?

JAYDEN: I love working on “Bossy Bear!” The whole team is very supportive and very kind. I really enjoy the days of recording the sound effect “Warras”. I love food so when I have to tape while eating my favorite snack, I’m in heaven!

JABA: I was invited to many callbacks over the course of several months, starting with the submission of auditions. Behind the scenes, I also recorded on Zoom with Jaden, but he was in Los Angeles and I was in New York, so it was amazing. It was nice to finally meet and hear each other’s voices.

VIVA: Working on “Bossy Bear” is one of my favorite things to do. Being in the booth is my happiest time. It was always so much fun that I can’t identify it per se. Without a doubt, my favorite part is singing with Sir Ed and Mr Craig. Everyone has a great sense of humor and clearly enjoy their jobs.

Do you have anything in common with your character?

JAYDEN: Just like Bossy Bear, I’m outgoing, always excited, and like to use my creative side. Bossy Bear collects Super Satang cards and I collect Garbage Pail Kids cards.

JABA: I can clearly see myself in Turtle. I am extroverted and introverted, very similar in nature to Turtle, who is introverted but loves to hang out with his friends. Like Turtle, I’m also an avid toy collector, always kind, vigilant, and willing to help.

VIVA: I have a lot in common with my character Bitsy. She’s an ambivert like me. One moment she’s totally there and the next she can be in her own head. It’s an insider story. I love working at Nickelodeon. Adults often voice the child’s role. Because it’s logically easy. But Nick really admires us as artists, so we really have a unique opportunity to express ourselves.

Describe the show in your own words in one sentence.

Jayden: “Bossy Bear” tells the story of an extroverted blue bear and his introverted best friend turtle as they go on silly adventures in the Korean town-inspired city of Pleasantburg.

JABA: “Bossy Bear” is a lovely comedy about two best friends, Bossy and Turtle, who learn many important lessons together on adventures with family and friends.

VIVA: “Bossy Bear” is a witty show about friendship, community and lots of fun! increase).

What was a normal day like for you while working on the show?

JAYDEN: Schools have been taping 2-3 times a week for the past 18 months using Zoom from 8:00 to 2:20 and 3:00 to 5:00, then homework, dinner, and bed. It’s time.

JABA: I am so grateful that I was able to record this series from home. I have a makeshift studio in my basement, so I usually come home from school, do my homework, have dinner, then hop on a Zoom call and do about two hours of insanely fun recording. increase.

A typical day working on VIVA: Bossy Bear is going to the studio after school and doing a great session in the booth with the “Bossy Bear” team. I love working with Sir Ed, Bob, Ellie, Jordan, Cody, Craig, Writers, Coordinators and everyone else. And it takes all of us working together to bring Bitchy to life! I don’t think people really understand how many people it takes to make a show like this.

If you could guest star on any other Nickelodeon show, which would it be and why?

JAYDEN: I want to be a guest star on “SpongeBob SquarePants”. This is one of my favorite shows of him and I still watch it all the time. Are there green bears? ? ? ?

JABA: “PAW Patrol” When I was young, I loved “PAW Patrol” so much that my parents searched for all the figures and made me a “PAW Patrol” cake and a rider vest for my 4th birthday. I found someone to give me.

VIVA: “SpongeBob” because I’m a big fan. I love Tyler Perry and comedy, so I would love to do “Young Dylan” in live action. I’ve been told I’m funny, but I usually appear in very dramatic stuff. If Nick comes up with a new show, I want to be a part of it, so I hope they do something with the action.

What is it that people would be surprised to know about you?

JAYDEN: I actually play Fortnite pretty well. I started when the COVID pandemic started and have been playing with my dad ever since.

JABA: What people might be surprised to find out about me is that I love drinking tea, especially tapioca (boba)! I think it’s the best drink I’ve ever had. Favorite flavors are brown sugar milk tea, matcha, and strawberry milk tea.

VIVA: People would be surprised to know that I was in an action movie when I was 11 years old. I did it in very cold weather and had to do a lot of stunts.

Who do you think has taught you the most in your career so far?

JAYDEN: My mom taught me the value of working hard and doing my best at whatever I do. What’s the point if you can’t give 100% effort?

JABA: There are many people whose ideas and knowledge over the last few years have contributed to my current thinking, if not just one. All I can say is that the most supportive people in my career have to be my family.

VIVA: Sir Ed taught me the most about narration acting. He’s wonderful, empathetic, and knows how to bring out my performance. In live action, my feature film director girlfriend Miss KC Carthew was a huge mentor for me, guiding me throughout the feature film.

Why should everyone watch “Bossy Bear”?

JAYDEN: “Bossy Bear” is such a fun show to watch. The music is great, a new adventure and lesson each time.

JABA: “Bossy Bear” is unique because all the characters are so unique and the storylines are all unique. Each episode teaches valuable life lessons through fun adventures and shares Korean culture in a really fun way that feels natural. It’s a very good song and it always makes me smile.

VIVA: Visuals, K-pop, Culture, Friendship, and frankly, Busy Bear and her Keeta make you cool in no time.

What else are you working on?

JAYDEN: Right now… we’re doing a lot of auditions, but we’re crossing our fingers for Seasons 2, 3, and beyond of “Bossy Bear.”

JABA: I can’t say anything right now, but I hope to share some news in the future.

VIVA: Everything is top secret in this industry, but some of my projects are coming out soon, so keep an eye out.

After the group questions, we had the opportunity to ask specific questions to Jaden, Jabba and Viva.

I spoke with Jaden first.

Please tell us about your activities at the Boys & Girls Club.

JAYDEN: I’ve been going to the boys and girls club after school since sophomore year.I enjoy activities and socializing with friends in a more relaxed environment while at school

JAYDEN: I recorded a short segment about the weather.

What about pixelated animation?

JAYDEN: My hobbies I picked up at the beginning of 2020 have shown me that I enjoy making animations and connecting with new friends on YouTube.

Then I had to talk to Jabba.

Please tell us about the work of “Mecha Builders”.

JABA: I had just turned 10 and had one of my first narration jobs as the recurring Timmy. I remember telling my family that I loved this show when I was younger because it combines two elements of him that I loved the most: superheroes and problem-solving.

What is your favorite Lego set?

JABA: I’m an avid LEGO builder and collector. I’ve been building Lego for what feels like my entire life. It’s really hard to choose, but my top favorites are the Office set (based on one of my favorite sitcoms), the Hokusai Great Wave art set, and the Marvel Sanctum Sanctorum (I’m a stubborn Marvel). Because I’m a fan).

You can also ask Viva a few questions.

VIVA: I have multiple practices, mainly taekwondo and boxing. Also dabbling in MMA and his BJJ.
