On June 15, 2010, Drizzy Drake released his debut LP. thank you later Via Young Money/Cash Money Records. Each track on the album takes fans back to Drizzy’s early days at the top of the charts. Beginning with “Fireworks” assisted by Keys, the album includes “Show Me A Good Time”, “Up All Night” with Nicki Minaj, “Fancy” with Tip and Swizz, and “Light Up” with Hov. Contains many classics. ‘Shut It Down’ is still his only collaboration with The Dream. The album’s deep cuts, such as “Karaoke,” “The Resistance,” and the Timbo-produced title track, still resonate with fans.
This album was a follow-up to his hugely successful and groundbreaking project. So Far Gone.according to MTVDrake was inspired to make the album after studying both eggplant and Andre 3000 work.
“I came back and really studied Nas,” Drake said. “Naz was someone I listened to a lot of his rap on, but I didn’t understand how he did it. I wanted to understand the rap of [rhyming] bar structure. I went back and did a thorough study of Nas and Andre 3000 and then came back with this album. ”
