After previously accusing the much-loved festival of disrespecting him, Juvenile has announced that he will be performing “Set It Off” at Essence Fest later this summer.
On Wednesday (June 7), the Noria legend announced on Twitter that he will be performing at the festival on June 30. He also posted a custom-made flyer and encouraged fans to visit the festival’s official website for more information. and buy a ticket.

But the former hot boy wasn’t always positive about the festival. The festival had previously kept him off the set of “The South Got Something to Say.” It’s a nod and wink to Outkast’s now-legendary 1995. Source Awards speech — curated by Jermaine Dupri.
Artists like Big Boi, Gucci Mane, Lil Jon, Ludacris and TI were on the list, but Juve were clearly out of the line-up and he wasn’t happy with that.
“How does Essence keep hip-hop going on in New Orleans for 50 years without me???” the former Cash Money hitmaker asked on Twitter last week.
After Essence Fest shunned him from Magnolia Project, he decided to promote another festival, Donna Fest, with Manny Fresh.

Meanwhile, in April, Juvenile stopped by a New Orleans television station, pulled out a page from a Jim Jones book, and temporarily fell into the shoes of a weather forecaster.
The ‘Ha’ rapper visited his hometown of WDSU6 to tell the Big Easy folks the forecast for a seasonally warmer day, but it didn’t quite get across 400 degrees.
