How can Lil Wayne stay so calm when he’s had several successful moments in his life? He doesn’t remember!
15th anniversary on Saturday Ta Carter III.Looking back on the milestone of his hit work in an interview rolling stonethe rapper admitted it wasn’t such a big deal to him, but only because he barely remembers the details.
“To be honest, I don’t know.” Ta Carter III, Ta Carter II, Ta Carter 1 from It’s Carter IV.” Wayne, 40, told the magazine.. ”That is my God’s honest truth.You can lie, you can ask me [about] I don’t even know what they’re talking about, this or that song. So it makes no sense to me at all. ”
When asked if the big success of 2008 hasn’t changed him, he stands by his convictions.
“No, I don’t know when Ta Carter III It came out. I don’t know how much. I work every day, brother, every day,” the “How To Love” rapper said.
“And I always think of it as part of the curse of gifts and curses. I believe so.” [God] Blessed me with this wonderful spirit, but did not give [me] It’s a great memory to remember this wonderful thing—” he said.
Wayne also said he doesn’t have a favorite project series because his memory is fuzzy.
“I don’t like it at all. My favorite song was the last one we recorded, but the next time I record it, I forget it,” he said.
Elsewhere in the interview, the “Mrs. Officer” rapper revealed her motivation to keep making great rap music.
“Every action, every word, every approach. The reason I’m still working and listening only to my opinion is because I’m in it. Once others I believe you will be your own if you start trying to listen to the opinion of “I’m not there anymore.” You are just happy to be here. But I am not. I’m working on my game at the gym. I don’t care how high you jump. I don’t care how fast you run. In that case, you can’t even stand next to me. ”
And he has no intention of quitting.
“If you work like I do, you might find it difficult and frustrating. And even if you say that, I don’t think that means you’re actually quitting your job or your music,” said “A Miri.” rapper said. “You’re probably just saying you want to retire from everything else. but music [laughs]. When you are an artist, a real artist like me, I was born this way. So I think real authentic artists and trailblazers never retire. They died while doing so. ”
Last month, Wayne made headlines and disappointed fans when he walked off the stage after a mere 30-minute performance at a show in Los Angeles.
According to HipHopDX, he took the stage over an hour late. After his appearance, he performed for 30 minutes, bringing in 2 Chainz as surprise guests before taking a break and giving up the stage to Young Money artists Lil Twist, Yazi Cader and Alan Qubus.
Audiences were reportedly not happy with Wayne’s exit from the stage. Before Cubus could perform the second song, Wayne returned to the stage and he told Cubus not to sing anymore.
“Thank you, but I’m not going to back down for these people. I’m trying too hard for this. I’m trying too hard,” Wayne told Qubus, according to the video. Participants shared on Twitter.
Then he said to the audience, “This is my artist mother Alan, that was Twist, that was Heck. We are Young Money. Thank you for everything.”
