Lil Yachty thinks of quitting interviews altogether because he feels his words are misunderstood every time he gives them.
Lil Boat took to Twitter on Thursday (March 9) to express his frustration at the constant misunderstandings.
“I think I’m just going to stop doing interviews now because what I’m saying will never be understood as intended,” he tweeted.

Earlier this year, Yachty received a lot of backlash for his comments about wanting to shed his “mumbling rapper” label, and was forced to explain why.

“This album is very special and dear to me,” he said. “You made it because you wanted to be taken seriously as an artist, right? I’m not just a SoundCloud rapper, or a mumbling rapper, or a guy who’s just had a hit.”
He adds: He respects all music, not just rap and hip hop. All. So I think he wanted to create something to show the world how great he was. ”
Some fans disputed Yachty’s comments, writing on Twitter: Why do you always create works in different genres because you want to be seen as an artist?”
Yachty took some time to reply to fans in a now-deleted tweet over the weekend, revealing that he doesn’t intend to downplay hip-hop as an art form.
“It’s not about respecting rap, it’s about being respected for being more than a rapper,” he wrote. “I make music outside of that lane.”
Lil Yachty recently brushed off rumors about his previous relationship with Mariah the Scientist. He seemed upset by the false rumors that allegedly surrounded him.
It all started when a fan retweeted a photo of Mariah and wrote, “How to go to school to be an anesthesiologist and fail Lil Yachty BC.”
The comments were directed at Mariah’s brief stint at St. John’s College in New York. Mariah was enrolled on a biology scholarship before dropping out to pursue a career in music. Some fans believed it was sparked by a rumored romance with Mariah. .
After getting wind of gossip, Yachty had a few words of his own regarding the alleged relationship.
“Laughs, why do people keep testing me on this woman.. I’ve been [quiet] It’s been a long time, please stop making up this weird ass false story,” he fired in a series of tweets that have since been deleted. “And me and Mariah weren’t dating at the time… Again!!! Only when I say this.Leave me alone!”
“And the fact that Mariah let all these lies go on is weird to me,” he tweeted. “You really don’t do anything… touch the grass.”
Things escalated when a fan accused the “Coffin” rapper of getting Mariah’s close friend pregnant, but Yachty wasn’t having it — the two were never close.
“This is also not true. Lmao they were never friends…. never met. Rarely had full conversations.” [They] We just followed each other… U [censored] R WEIRD!!!!!!!!!!!!” he tweeted.
Meanwhile, Mariah the Scientist appeared to confirm the gossip when she called out with a threat to hang all his dirty laundry.
“I know I don’t have to say a total 2 for an amount I’ve never talked about before,” she tweeted. “Vertigo Miles, I air you on this b***h.”
Yachty responded to her tweet with the following: I just cleared my name, your fans are weird.
