LL Cool J is coming to San Francisco this fall, and he’s bringing with him a star-studded cast of hip-hop icons.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and two-time Grammy Award winner headlined a 24-city North American tour celebrating the 50th anniversary of the genre, The FORCE (Frequency of Real Creative Energy) Live, with a rotating cast of performers. The cast has been handpicked. By LL Cool J himself.
Instead of opting for a “traditional ‘opening act and headliner’ format,” the tour’s organizers say it will be a “non-stop musical mashup in which the artists’ performances are woven into one continuous musical set.” Says.
LL Cool J will take over Chase Center on September 1st for a series of collaborative performances alongside The Roots and DJ Jazzy Jeff. Other heavy hitters who brought “FORCE” to San Francisco for one night included Salt-N-Pepa, Slick Rick, Ice-TRakim, Doug E. Fresh.
