LMW’s RAP revolutionises ring spinning at ITMA with ‘AS HUMAN PIECING’

Lakshmi Machine Works Limited (LMW), a leading textile machinery manufacturer in India with a global presence, will showcase its Ring Frame Auto Piecing (RAP) at ITMA 2023 in Fiera Milano Rho, Italy. RAP is a fully automatic splicing system for ring spinning machines that receives yarn breakage information through a YBS (yarn break sensor), moves it to a specific spindle and automatically splices the yarn instantly just like a human would. do the joints.

The biggest challenge facing the spinning industry is the shortage of skilled workers, especially in ring spinning. Piece makers need to be trained and skilled to do pieces with shorter edge fix times to avoid production losses. In a press release, LMW said the RAP ensures automatic piece connection, reducing reliance on human power.

Lakshmi Machine Works will showcase Ring Frame Auto Piecing (RAP) at ITMA 2023. RAP is a fully automated splicing system for ring spinning machines that reduces reliance on skilled workers by automatically splicing yarns, increasing productivity and maintaining yarn quality. This system works efficiently with both regular ring spinning and compact spinning.

RAP operates consistently 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The RAP units receive signals from her YBS and move directly to their respective spinning positions, automatically mending the yarn as a human would. RAP uniquely captures the broken ends from the package without lifting the package and inserts the yarn into the traveler to over-piece. Immediate attention to damaged edges and a short auto-seaming cycle time of approximately 35 seconds increase productivity.

RAP guarantees a consistent splice length of the repaired yarn. The autopiece device also decontaminates (manually) the outer surface of the cop to improve and maintain the quality of the yarn.

The unique design of the RAP is suitable for both types of spinning techniques, regular ring spinning and compact spinning. Works easily with all applications.
