PORTLAND, Maine — Portland Press Herald’s music writer Aimsel Ponti joined 207 to give some recommendations for where to go for live music by the end of the month. Here are her comments on the list she compiled and the performers.

information: As my friend Ray Routhier told me, the band includes members who were in other famous Celtic groups such as Cherish the Ladies, Solas and Gaelic Storm. Fiddler Winifred Horan is a National Irish Stepdancer he has won nine times and is also an All-Ireland his fiddle champion. Accordion and flute player John Williams has appeared on the radio shows Mountain Stage and Prairie Home Companion with The Chieftains, Nickel Creek and Riverdance.
