“Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” star Ariane Davis was arrested early Monday morning on charges of attempted assault and harassment after allegedly getting into an altercation with another woman inside a Manhattan hotel, police said.
Davis, 44, confronted a 33-year-old woman inside Moxy Times Square at 4:55 a.m. in what her lawyers described as a “domestic” dispute.
Police and prosecutors said the woman suffered scratches on her neck and wounds on her hands, but refused to seek medical attention at the scene.
Davis was taken into custody at a hotel and charged with attempted assault and harassment in a Manhattan criminal court.
She appeared in court Monday night in a black Balenciaga dress.
Prosecutor Stephane Millan said the socialite made an incriminating statement to officers who arrived on the scene, who “observed scratches on the victim’s neck.”
He added that Davis and the victim had a “live-in relationship,” adding that he requested a temporary protection order even though the victim didn’t want it.
“I spoke with the victim and she certainly said that she didn’t want a full temporary protection order and that she wasn’t afraid for her safety,” Milan said.
“However, given the relationship between the parties and the fact that the defendant had already confessed to hitting the accused victim, and indeed hit the accused victim, the public is seeking a full temporary protection order. “There is,” the prosecutor said.
It was unclear whether Davis, who is bisexual, and the victim were romantically involved, but both prosecutors and defense attorneys said they were living together, saying it was a “domestic issue.”
Judge Soma Said issued a temporary protection order and released Davis. Her next court date is July 26th.
After the arraignment hearing, Davis’ attorney Eric Saunders told the Post he believed the charges would be resolved soon.
“There has been an unfortunate incident that I hope will be resolved before the next court hearing,” he said.
Davis is known for appearing as a supporting cast member in the first six seasons of VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta due to his friendship with one of the series’ main characters, Mimi Faust.
According to the reality series’ fandom page, the socialite is a self-proclaimed “celebrity mixologist” from Mississippi. She left the show after six seasons.
