Margo Price reinterpreted her strays The track “Change of Heart” originally had Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers as an acoustic song with a sparsely country vibe. Adding new emotional depth, the song now has a dim campfire vibe. Price’s husband Jeremy Ivey (who also co-wrote the song) plays guitar, and Billy Contreras plays fiddle.
In a statement, Price said, “I’m really excited to share a stripped-down take of ‘Change of Heart’ featuring Sierra Ferrell. Sierra is one of my favorite new voices in music. and I loved working with her on the acoustic version of this song, when I see someone doing great art I love lifting other women in the genre. In an industry that is trying to pull apart, we are free to break down those barriers and say, ‘There’s room for everyone.'”
The song arrives before Price’s keynote at South by Southwest tomorrow. straysand her memoirs, maybe we will make it (one of rolling stones “Best Music Books of 2022”). While in Austin, she will also be filming the next episode. Austin City Limits, Willie Nelson’s Luck Reunion. Price will tour the US this spring and summer, and will be back with more dates in the fall.
Last month, the price stopped of The Late Late Show With James Corden Execute strays “Radio” with Sharon Van Etten. She also released a video for the song.Meanwhile, Ferrell has released a long-awaited album long time coming 2021 years.
