J Royale is a highly talented and versatile artist who is worth getting to know. With a unique style that blends elements of hip-hop, R&B, and soul, J Royale has been making waves in the music industry for several years. His impressive vocal range, smooth flow, and powerful lyrics have earned him a dedicated fan base and critical acclaim. Whether you’re into his introspective ballads or his energetic bangers, J Royale is sure to impress with his creativity and raw talent.

    Where are you from?

I was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin but I was raised in North Memphis, Tennessee

Can you tell us about your background and journey as an artist?

I’ve done a little bit of everything started out as a songwriter and background singer for other artists, I’ve done live performances opening up for YFN Lucci, Stunna4Vegas, Morray, Moneybagg Yo, Pooh Shiesty, Money Mu, Jhery Robinson (Tech Nine’s Artist). I have 8 Singles out on all platforms as well as 2 EPs, and 2 Albums, Shut It Down, Split Personality, and a 3rd one dropping on June 2nd called Psycho.  What inspires you to create?  Living life. If I don’t live life the way I need to for the moment, I won’t have anything to write about because I don’t believe in putting anything in a song that I haven’t done or currently going through. In some cases, for example, my album Psycho, is a little bit of my past as well as me living life as well.

Are there any recurring themes or messages in your work?

Recently I’ve started going with the multiple personalities theme and that’s because I believe everyone has more than one or two sides to them. It’s just depends on how they choose to show it.

How has your artwork evolved over time?

I originally was just an R&B music artist but over the course of time I’ve actually done a little bit of everything from trap rap, drill rap, house music with a mix of trap and R&B which has made me more versatile and as an artist and songwriter.

Are there any particular artists who have influenced your style?

Chris Brown definitely plays as an influence when it comes to vocal abilities and style as well as neyo when it comes to songwriting. Another one when it comes to rapping I would have to say NLE Choppa and Moneybagg Yo.  What advice would you give to aspiring artists?

Invest!!! Invest!!!! Invest!!!!!! If you believe in what you’re doing then you have to invest otherwise how can you expect someone else to believe in you and put they money up for you if you’re not willing to do the same to help yourself.

What inspired you to become an artist?

I honestly had to be talked into it. Someone else saw something that I didn’t see and still not sure what they saw and they really just pushed me until I decided to do it and it’s been ongoing ever since. What is your creative process like?

I listen to whatever the beat tells me. If the beat talks to me, then I know how I’m going to approach it and what I’m gonna say. At that point it’s just about how to simplify what I want to say to where people understand where I’m coming from.

Are you looking forward to any future collaborations?

Definitely. I’m always open to doing work with anyone that is serious and takes this just as serious as I do. Whether it be on the independent side or wherever. I won’t turn down any opportunity to work with somebody because you never know what may come from it.
