    Asheville, North Carolina (WLOS) — Despite the rain, music fans turned out for the second annual Big Secret Festival on Sunday, June 11th.

    “When asked what defines the music scene in Asheville, I think collaboration is what defines this scene more than anything else,” said Cactus, a musician and organizer of Sunday’s event. “So we’re putting it all together and making it happen and showing what collaboration is like from the stage and letting people see we’re better when we all work together and we need it. Earn money while you’re doing it for others.”

    All proceeds from Sunday’s event Beloved Asheville, a local non-profit organization that advocates for people experiencing homelessness. Organizers say the event has already raised $9,000 for the nonprofit within hours of its launch.

    Last year’s proceeds went to ‘My Daddy Taught Me That’.
