Multifaceted singer, songwriter and producer Elijah Oyeleid has revealed that his music focuses on bringing people, especially young people, closer to God.
The Oyo-born gospel artist’s passion and drive for gospel music dates back to his teenage years, but eventually he released the album Show Us Your Glory in 2010 and entered the music ecosystem professionally. Out of that project came “Glorious God,” a song that has influenced generations over the years.
“Glorious God” not only garnered millions of streams and views across various digital platforms, but remains a remarkable sound that many people sing to this day.
Over the years he has produced a total of eight albums and a number of globally accepted sounds that have formed part of the worship repertoire of churches and other Christian gatherings across the country.
Elijah has mentored thousands of young people through music, discovering their talents, honing their craft, and fulfilling their divine mission in music and ministry.
he said: “I want my music to draw people into a full knowledge of Christ and His love. My passion and focus remains the same: for people to experience Christ’s love through my sound.”
Ilya remains consistent and continues to project through sound his African origins, particularly the Yoruba culture of southwestern Nigeria. Not only do his songs have a huge following all over the world, but people of different tribes and languages sing his local dialect songs comfortably.
Outside of Africa, Elijah is recognized as a respected and notable figure in the music industry.
