A multi-week celebration of music, art, and technology is coming to the Garden State this summer.
Governor Phil Murphy, Newark Mayor Russ Baraka, Asbury Park Mayor John Moore and Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small Jr. jointly announced on Monday the North to Shore Festival, which begins June 7.
The festival takes place in three cities: Atlantic City (June 7-11), Asbury Park (June 14-18) and Newark (June 21-25).
“We are excited to announce North to Shore, New Jersey’s first multi-city festival celebrating the best in music, comedy, film and technology,” said Murphy. Another great reason for tourists to visit the Garden State and an opportunity for local businesses in his three iconic cities to shine. ”
According to the governor, the festival “will generate economic activity and have a significant impact on our region.”

Passionate artists of all kinds, luminous innovators in industry and science, renowned minds in education and philosophy, and brave souls leading the way in social progress. It’s the birthplace of the mind,” said Baraka. “We welcome so many unique and creative talents to perform at our world-class venues and storied stages, giving visitors from all over the world an opportunity to express and enjoy the North to Shore. We want you to enjoy the exciting display of ideas and experience first-hand the vibrant energy that makes Newark City so wonderfully unique.”
Moore said, “While we have a prolific arts scene in Asbury Park, we are best known for our music history, but we also have a wealth of all art forms, including film, dance, theater and the visual arts.” It is also home to many talented creators.”
Small shared similar sentiments, stating that Atlantic City has a rich entertainment history and is “a prime location for filming award-winning productions.”
