Texas progressive collective Polyphia have announced that they will return to Australia in June for their first headlining tour. The band will begin on Tuesday 27 June at Tivoli, Brisbane where he will play three days of performances, followed by the Metro in Sydney the following evening. They wrap up their tour with a show at Melbourne’s Northcote Theater on Thursday 29th June.
“We are all very excited to be back and look forward to seeing your beautiful face,” guitarist Scott Lepage said in a statement announcing the show. “Get ready to party!” Tickets for the tour go on sale March 23 at 9am local time.
Polyphia – “Playing God”
Polyphia last visited the country in September 2018 when they supported Canadian prog-metal band Intervals on their Australian tour. Since then Polyphia has released two of her albums. new level new devil and last year don’t forget you die.
The latter was produced by LePage and fellow guitarist Tim Henson, with additional production on some tracks by Rodney Jerkins, JUDGE, longtime collaborator Y2K, and Johan Lenox among others. The album featured guest appearances by Deftones frontman Chino Moreno, guitarist Steve Vai, and American rapper $NOT.
