Quincy Jones was rushed to the hospital over the weekend after suffering a severe reaction to what she ate.
Paramedics were called to the We Are The World producer’s home Saturday afternoon before Quincy, 90, was rushed to the emergency room.
A rep for the record producer and songwriter told TMZ in a statement on Sunday that Quincy had meticulously called 911 for help after he had a bad reaction to the food he ate.
A spokeswoman said Quincy never lost consciousness during the ordeal and was “fine” when doctors diagnosed her as unharmed and released her from hospital.
Previously, Quincy suffered a brain aneurysm in 1974 that required two surgeries and left the producer with six steel pins in his head.
“I actually had two brain aneurysms,” he recalled in the 2018 documentary Quincy. “So I think I would be classified as having a traumatic experience to the brain. Also, my mother had a mental illness.”
In 2015, he was hospitalized with chest pain and shortness of breath.
