New York City is gearing up for the 50th anniversary of hip-hop this summer.
First up, Run DMC, Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne, Ice Cube, the Sugarhill Gang and more will ring out at the Half-Century Gala at Yankee Stadium on Friday, August 11th.
A little over a month later, on Friday, Mariah Carey, Wu-Tang Clan and Mary J. Blige headlined New York’s Madison Square Garden for a half-century of the star-studded Hip-Hop Forever 50th Anniversary concert. The hit song will resound. September 15th.
The one-night-only event organized by Funk Flex will also feature fellow legends Maxwell, EPMD, Tyreese and Sean Paul.
