The Union County Commission announced that recording artist Laurie Birkner will host a special performance of her greatest hits and more at the Union County Performing Hall on Sunday, April 2 at 12:30 p.m. I am pleased to announce that I will be performing a solo set that is gentle on the senses. The Arts Center at 1601 Irving Street, Rahway, as part of the Commissioner Board’s Sensory Friendly Theater series.
“Sensory Friendly Theater allows children and families to enjoy the excitement of live performance in an inclusive and supportive environment that caters to those with sensory sensitivities. We are proud to welcome Laurie Birkner to our sensory family,” said Union County Commissioner President Sergio Granados.
Tickets can be purchased online from the Performing Arts Center at ucpac.org/sensory-friendly-theatre for $8.00 per person. For accessible seating, please call the Box Office at 732-499-8226.
New Jersey native Laurie Berkner earned the title of “Queen of Kids Music” as the first recording artist to appear in a Nick Jr. music video. Jack’s Big Music Showand she helped develop the short-form animated musical preschool series Sing, Laurie! on Sprout TV.
The Greatest Hits solo show will feature hits like “Bumblebee (Buzz Buzz),” “Victor Vito,” “We Are The Dinosaurs,” “Pig On Her Head,” and “Rocketship Run,” plus a special treat for fans. As a treat -A popular song that is hard to hear with a full band!
Participants are encouraged to bring dancing shoes and stuffed animals.
