Sigur Rós Return With New Song ‘Blóðberg’ | News

Cigar Ross We shared a new single, “Blóðberg.”

The song, the first new song by the Icelandic group in seven years, was performed as Sigur Ros prepared to perform at London’s Royal Festival Hall on 15 June. The band, which is playing as part of this year’s Meltdown festival, was invited to perform at the request of curators Christine and the Queens.

“Blóðberg”, which is currently released, is infinitely beautiful, but you can also feel a part of the music Sigur Roth is making. What the Icelandic group produces has a weight to match its exceptional emotional impact.

In addition to this, Sigur Roth has released a full video of “Brosberg” shot by Johan Renck, the director of the HBO miniseries Chernobyl. Director’s comments…

“I feel as nihilistic as possible about the future. We are powerless over our own stupidity. Music became the score of my own miserable thoughts, giving them a beauty that only music can.”

Watch now.
