“And that’s all I want to say.”
When asked who the guest stars were, David insisted he was “sworn to secrecy.”
he added: “This is something very special.
“He has four different collaborators on stage at different times, sorry I won’t reveal their names.
“So he’s changed a lot. There’s a lot of things in his plan and I think he’s got anxiety. Yeah, but I think it’s good, anxiety, It’s a healthy anxiety.”
Meanwhile, David claimed that after his final Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, which is currently underway, ends next month, his husband is still busy and has plans for more music.
He quipped: “I can’t imagine him sitting on the couch with a remote control.
“He’s back in the studio in October and will be working on the next album. That’s great. He hasn’t made a studio album in a long time.”
Sir Elton, 75, previously admitted he was “a little intimidated” by taking the Pyramid Stage for the first time.
He told BBC Radio 2: “It’s not a little bit scary, but it’s a little bit scary because I’ve never played there, never been there.”
