Rap icon Snoop Dogg has arrived in Glasgow in true Scottish style.
Ross Ainslie was given just a day’s notice after being asked to play for the 51-year-old legend, real name Calvin Broadus Jr., who is currently touring the UK. has given Ross a provocative review of his Piper’s rendition of the Dr. Dre song Still Dre.
In a video posted to Ross’ Instagram page, Snoop in a tartan throw can be seen dancing on the tarmac at Glasgow Airport while Piper plays the song’s famous melody. He turns to Ross, gives a big thumbs up and smiles.
The camera then pans back to the piper. He can’t hold back his smile as he continues to play his pipe. He later said his experience was “very cool.”
Ross added:
Two versions of the clip, posted on Ross’ social media, have been viewed a combined 40,000 times, delighting his followers. One person said, “This is absolutely amazing.”
Another poster added, “Spit it hot. Great guy!”
Another follower said, “Award for the most random video on the internet today. Class.”
Snoop Dogg played Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on Thursday night. The show was scheduled to take place in August last year, but was postponed due to scheduling conflicts.
