Sony Music Entertainment pays tribute to hip-hop’s rich history with the release of a new compilation album from Certified, a project dedicated to releasing music from long-running archives.commemorative double vinyl Raised by Rap: 50 Years of Hip-Hop The LP compiles 25 anthems that have influenced and inspired rap culture.
Celebrating 50 years of hip-hop in 2023, this album brings together decades of hits from Wu-Tang Clan to Lil Nas X. Listeners can also hear selections from artists such as Rob Bass & DJ EZ Rock, RUN DMC and Three. 6 Mafia, Outkast, BIA.
Sony describes the album as intended to chart the evolution of rap as a genre, recognizing its vast scope.
