    Sony Celebrates Rap Culture with the ‘Raised By Rap: A Tribute to 50 Years of Hip Hop’ Release

    Sony Music Entertainment pays tribute to hip-hop’s rich history through a new compilation album released by Certified, a project dedicated to sharing music from its extensive archive. Entitled Raized By Rap: A Tribute to 50 Years of Hip Hop, this commemorative double vinyl LP of his includes 25 of his most influential songs that shaped and inspired rap culture. The anthem with is summarized.

    Celebrating hip-hop’s 50th anniversary in 2023, the album features hits spanning decades, from legendary Wu-Tang Clan to modern-day sensation Lil Nas X. The album also features songs from famous artists such as Rob Bass, DJ EZ Rock, RUN DMC, Three 6 Mafia, Outkast and BIA.

    Sony describes the album as a vehicle to trace the evolution of rap as a genre while recognizing its vast scope. As part of its effort to honor hip-hop, Certified will release additional records throughout the year, including a reissue of Project Pat’s “Mista Don’t Play Everythangs Workin.” Raized By Rap: A Tribute to 50 Years of Hip Hop is available for pre-order now and will be officially released on July 28th.
