Tamar Braxton on Releasing New Music and Dating Publicly on ‘Queen’s Court’ (Exclusive)


Tamar Braxton is gearing up to drop new music just in time for her birthday, and the diva is gearing up to find love on her new reality show, too. Queen’s Court.

Braxton recently sat down with ET’s Rachel Smith to open up about releasing a new single for the first time in years.

“I’m so excited to put out my first single,” Braxton shared, adding that her new song is based on her own love life and experiences. I just had to talk about what I was doing.”

“I was single for a very long time. I searched for love, I was disappointed, I tried to find a place where I fit in with love. And I had to write about it,” she explained. “For better or worse, love inspires me.”

Braxton shared that her next single will be called ‘Changed’ “I haven’t been this excited in a long time, so I’m really proud,” he added.

For the songstress, working on music is “incredibly healing” for her, and she equates it to how she deals with stress and mental health challenges through writing and journaling.

“This is me journaling, putting my thoughts and my biggest fears, hopes and dreams on a piece of paper,” she shared.

Her love life and the struggles she faced to find love inspired her new music, but it also inspired her most recent television endeavors – Queen’s CourtPeacock’s reality dating series.

When asked what motivated her to join the reality dating show, Braxton quipped, “Well, you know, I had to find Mr. Somewhere!”

“I feel like I looked high and low. The truth is, I wanted to meet some possibilities there in a different way,” she shared. I think we’ve run out of people.”

Braxton is familiar with reality TV shows, though she admitted to having a bit of a “love/hate” relationship with them. Queen’s Court“Someone told me to trust the process.”

“I’ve never done anything like this. What’s the worst thing that could happen? Will I ever find love?” she added. “This TV show is so amazing and one of my proudest moments because I was looking for some girlfriends who were looking for the same things I was looking for, people I really love and respect. Because I got the chance to actually be with people who are…has been a vulnerable moment [and] we had a wonderful moment. ”

The diva joked as she looked back at the men who had come to shoot her for a chance at a romance with Braxton. What’s the hardest thing about dating these days? ”

The show also gave Braxton an opportunity for self-reflection, self-actualization, and personal and emotional growth.

“The number one thing I learned was that I wasn’t as ready to receive love as I said I was,” she admitted. , I didn’t want it.Sometimes I wasn’t open when they wanted to have certain conversations.And I really needed to check myself.And this is me Make sure that is an area you had to work on before expanding yourself a bit.”
