With Body & Soul’s triumphant return to Ballinloe Castle, County Westmeath from 16-18 June just one week away, The Hennessy Hip-Hop House team reveals more details about their highly anticipated program clarified. ..
Hosted by Hennessy, this year’s edition will be a massive event celebrating the 50th anniversary of hip-hop. It is widely believed that hip-hop first hit the streets at his Bronx party in the summer of 1973.
To commemorate this incredible milestone, a bespoke program has been created by guest curators Stevie G and Alvin Jusan.
Part of the celebration includes live graffiti by Rusk & Sams, breakdance by the Northern Souls crew, paint and ship by Simba, and hip-hop karaoke.
You’ll also get the chance to delve deeper into the world of hip-hop as Irvine and Stevie chat with some of the biggest names in the scene. On Saturday afternoon, Alvine will host “The Story of Irish Hip-Hop: Music, Culture” with special guests Kojak, Rusk, Glenn Brady, and Stevie G on “Hip-Hop in Art, Dance and Art.” Consider the impact of On Sunday afternoon, ‘Fashion’ with Chamon Cassette, Mango, Sam’s and Paul Ashford of The Fifth Element.
The Hennessy Hip-Hop House hosts The Future of Irish Music, featuring conversations and live performances from some of the most exciting up-and-coming artists all weekend long.
Elsewhere on the weekend, immerse yourself in the sets of some of the best hip-hop acts and DJs from Ireland and the world, including Kojak, Fabio & Gruber Ryder, The Outlook Orchestra, and Denise Chyla on the Body & Soul stage as part of Hennessy Music I can. trail.
