Transfer news LIVE! Chelsea expected to make Mbappe move; Man Utd eye Kolo Muani; Kudus to Arsenal

Despite a flurry of early deals, there is still plenty of room left in the summer transfer window. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has agreed to sign Kylian Mbappe, while Mohamed Kudus and Romeo Labia have also been targeted in a plan to sell a number of backup players. Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal are said to be preparing a world-record offer for Mbappe, while Chelsea are also rumored to be preparing a bid.

The Blues are still in the race for Moisés Caicedo, but manager Roberto De Zerbi has issued a warning not to touch the midfielder at Brighton’s £100m valuation. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has joined Marseille on a free transfer and Conor Gallagher has attracted attention from both Tottenham and West Ham.

The Spurs have decided to move forward with the acquisition of Mickey van de Ven and are reportedly close to signing Ashley Phillips from Blackburn. Andre Onana is now officially a Manchester United player and Liverpool are missing both Fabinho and Jordan Henderson, despite the club having Randall Kolo-Muani and Rasmus Hoylund on their striker shortlist.

Madison hits back at Kane shirt claims

James Maddison has dismissed rumors that he will be giving away the number 10 shirt from Tottenham’s Harry Kane.

Maddison shared footage earlier this week of him playing golf with England captain Kane, but it remains to be seen how long the two have been teammates at Tottenham.

Kane, who is in the final 12 months of his current contract, continues to be linked with a move this summer, with Bayern Munich making clear they want to bring him to Germany.

Asked about Kane’s desire to stay with the Spurs, Maddison said, “I’m not going to go into detail about Harry’s situation.”

“People have talked enough about it and it’s really out of my hands, but from my point of view, I would really love to play with him. He’s a world-class centre-forward, the best number nine in the world, a great role model and a super-professional guy. Whatever happens, it happens.”

Asked if he could become the club’s new number 10 if Kane leaves, Maddison said: I don’t know what to say or what not to say to that question. ”
