ST. LEWIS COUNTY, Missouri – A woman who was thrown off stage during the rapper’s St. Louis County show in 2019 has filed a lawsuit for injuries sustained.
In the lawsuit, rapper NBA Youngboy (real name Kentrell DeShawn Golden) and four others are accused of negligence related to her injury.Kayden Rutherford seeks monetary damages over $25,000
Rutherford attended the NBA Young Boy show on Jan. 26, 2019, according to court documents obtained by FOX 2. The show was held at Block 9800 of Newhalls Ferry Road in northern St. Louis County.
The complaint alleges that Mr. Rutherford was permitted, encouraged, or not prevented from taking the stage during the show. Reportedly, shortly after she took the stage, “her body was thrown off the stage by a show attendant.”
The lawsuit says Rutherford hit a concrete floor and snapped a cable, but it did not say who threw him.
Rutherford suffered serious head, back neck and ankle injuries, as well as a concussion, according to the complaint. The complaint states that Mr. Rutherford continues to suffer from physical limitations, emotional distress, and medical bills from his injuries.
The complaint cites three similar incidents prior to the January 2019 tie with Golden, in which fans were thrown off stage and got into fights during performances. These were associated with shows in Minnesota, Virginia and South Carolina.
Parties accused in the lawsuit include:
- Kentrell DeShawn Golden
- Major Entertainment LLC
- Elite Security, Protection & Services LLC
- International Catering North Inc. (Former Ambassador)
- Sprules Properties LLC
The complaint does not specify which of these parties may have been involved in the woman’s alleged throwing off the stage. The lawsuit was filed last week in St. Louis County Circuit Court.
Golden, who also goes by the stage name Youngboy Never Broke Again, has released 26 mixtapes over his career and has been involved in various legal battles. At this time, he has not been charged with criminal charges in connection with this case.
