Women Rappers Running Hip-Hop During Women’s History Month

H.Don’t forget to support women in music. In recent years, girls have dominated music, especially rap music. The era of women in rap has spotlighted talented artists such as Latto, Baby Tate, GloRilla and Ice Spice. In honor of Women’s History Month, check out a gallery of the women who dominate rap music.

With chart-topping hits, unforgettable performances, iconic features and legendary partnerships, many of these stars are quickly rising to the top of the rap game. We watched a young rat win the ultimate hip-hop jackpot from Jermaine Dupri’s “The Rap Game.”

Other artists on our list have achieved viral fame and quickly dispelled criticism and rumors of being one-hit wonders. I had my best year with FNF (Let’s Go). The Memphis rapper was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best New Artist and was welcomed into his rap community with open arms. Cardi B embraced her GloRilla on her follow-up hit “Tomorrow 2,” and the young rapper collaborated with Rat and the late Gangsta Her Boo on “FTCU.”

Many fans thought Ice Spice would be a one-hit wonder after the success of their viral hit “Much (Feelin’ U).”She proved the naysayers wrong by dropping her recent EP like..?featuring notable fan favorites such as “Princess Diana” and “In a Hum Mood.”

These rap stars really have nothing to prove. Because the proof is in the product. Cardi B has multiple endorsement deals, including her husband’s latest collaboration with Offset and McDonald’s debut meal “The Cardi and Offset.” Megan Thee Stallion has followed suit with a number of partnerships including Nike, CashApp and Netflix.
