Utkarsh Ambudkar explains that he co-wrote the music, but when Manny came in, many of the songs had to be tailored to his voice and skill level, which was very expensive. “We had to change keys on most of the songs. We raised him and then he was allowed to fly.” Utkarsch reveals Manny was given freedom on this song good day And that the last third of the song is him doing his own thing.
All songs were pre-written before filming began. They had a demo and tweaked it sonically, but the lyrics were pretty much set.

As for his favorite song performance in the movie, Manny says he can’t decide. I love big scale things in “World’s Best”, but I enjoyed being with my fellow dancers in “Halfway Living.” “They really recreated that scene,” he admits.
Utkarsh said choreographer Bradley Rapier was brilliant. “He was very patient with everyone and brought out the best in Manny.” best in the world, he claims the characters wrote the song themselves. “It may sound strange, but they told us what we needed.
