The last time we spoke was the end of 2022, when the world was resetting after a pandemic and lockdown quarantine.how fast did you get Nearly Dead<\/strong> Would the world look different if we started acting again?<\/em><\/p>\n We officially started writing the album in August of 2021. During the pandemic, everyone was doing their own thing, working on solo projects or writing down ideas. So we took a lot of those initial ideas and laid them out to select the best. Nearly Dead was ahead of its time when it came to the new normal. Nashville<\/strong>, rhode island<\/strong>and Pittsburgh<\/strong>. So we were very used to doing business and writing from a distance. We were already doing Zoom meetings and exchanging voice memos, so we were able to adapt pretty well. For a while we stayed in touch even though traveling to see each other became difficult. The common denominator was that we can’t wait to release our next full-length album.<\/p>\n The last time we spoke, the idea of \u200b\u200ba new album being released to the public was still far away. Are all the roads you planned to take from then to now go according to plan?<\/em><\/p>\n I definitely think that everything worked out as expected. We didn’t have a timeline, but it certainly could have helped. But we wanted to make an album that everyone could be proud of without compromising on quality or content, so it took time. Managing multiple schedules and working with a producer who is also a touring musician himself definitely made things interesting.<\/p>\n What can listeners expect from We Are The Nearly Deads? Trademark sounds, evolving sounds, comfort zones, experimentation, or all of that?<\/em><\/p>\n I think it’s all of the above! Since each member’s individuality comes out a little, I named the album. We Are The Nearly Dead<\/em>. A lot of bands don’t do this and for years neither did I, Steven<\/strong> We wrote all the music together. In this chain of events, we threw out the rulebook and listened to it all. Josh<\/strong> and Javier<\/strong> They are both extremely talented songwriters and guitarists who have played together for years, so it made sense to include them in the writing process. The result is some of the best songs ever. We really like every song on this album and hope the fans like it too.<\/p>\n Was the process of making the album easy?<\/em><\/p>\n yes and no. Making an album is a fun and creative process. Especially if you’re lucky enough to get along as a band and agree on pretty much everything. When we first conceived the album, we sat in a circle and wrote down everything we wanted the listener to feel when they heard the song and put it on a pile without showing each other what we had written. I was. Then I turned the page and circled all the commonalities. We all said we wanted to make songs with encouraging themes of being positive and empowering, and most of all, we wanted them to be fun. If it’s not fun, why bother? <\/p>\n Scheduling and not having the old fashioned unlimited budget to make an album would definitely be the hardest part. It just doesn’t work the way it used to. I wish we could stay home for a month and write an album together, but that’s just not realistic anymore.<\/p>\n
